It has snowed alot this winter and I know that it can be a pain but it gives the landscape a different dimension and can look stunning. I nipped off to Beverley Westwood yesterday to take few snaps. Can you tell which one I played about with? I was thinking of getting the pictures printed onto canvas to put on the walls in the practice. What do you think?

Having enjoyed camping for the last 6 years with my family I made the decision to get a touring caravan. This was because we were washed out and blown out one time too many in our tent. I was supposed to pick it up today but it isn’t ready. It’s good I phoned first as I’m travelling from Beverley to Leeds. I’m so fed… up about it, especially as they didn’t phone. Our Customer Care is MILES better than this at Castle Park. Anyway all is not doom and gloom as Graham (not Mr Porter) reminded me that having his dental implants is the best thing he has ever done. The summer came and went in no time at all. The kids went back to school and if by magic the weather got a whole lot better. How does that work then?
Was ill for a few weeks but back fighting fit now and loving my job. Changing people’s lives gives me such a kick and I like to celebrate it with them.

Below I am thanking Ros for letting me give her back her beautiful smile.  Her friends say how well she looks and I agree.

Rory The Tiger – What a Guy

My daughter,Harriet, has recently  started playing football with a football team and is really enjoying it.  The club had a fundraiser event and Rory the Tiger was there.  I thought that this was great.

My son Edward was collecting the Panini football cards to put in his  album last season.  He had loads.  He had all the Hull City Team included in these.  Unfortunately he took the lot to school, including his album, and got it all sto;en.  Obviously he was very upset.  A friend of mine told Rory at this do and sent loads of stickers that he had including the Hull City team.  What a great bloke.  Thank you Rory for making a young lad really happy!!

Where does time go?

It was my wedding anniversary so I took a well deserved afternoon off to go for lunch with the present Mrs B (only joking Fran).  We had a lovely meal at The Westwood in Beverley.  We had not been there before but it was very pleasant and laid back.  14 years  married, time flies when you’re having fun as they say.  Here’s to another good few years.

Last Thursday Graham “Dr Tooth Saver”  and I went to Bradford for a presentation on  a new laser scanner by Nobel Biocare.   Brendan Tanner, the owner of PDS dental laboratory, has ordered one.  The CAD CAM technology is superb and will help us in our constant effort to deliver you the very best, state of the art and cutting edge crown, bridge and implant work to give you smile of your dreams.

Special guest was Sir Ian Botham OBE.  He is a friend of Brendan and was there to promote the leukaemia research charity that he has been a patron of for nearly 25years.  His nearly 1000 mile charity walks have raised a tremendous amount of money and saved thousands of lives.  He was a really nice guy,  witty and very natural.  There was a charity raffle and Graham bagged two prizes, a cricket bat and a hotel room for two.  I think he is going to donate the signed cricket bat to a local cricket club to help raise funds.  He’ll be keeping the hotel trip.

Hull City will set out in another premier league season.  Lets hope they get off the same start as last season.  Difficult first game against Chelsea to start though.  Good look to the tigers.
