Meet Our Team
The Dental Team here at Castle Park Dental in Hull are dedicated to providing the best quality dentistry in a calm and gentle environment.
Practice Manager – Gillian Fisher
Gillian is a member of the Dental Mavericks Charity and raised over £5,000 for the Mavericks when she took part in the cycle Sahara Charity Bike Ride.
When not at work, Gillian hates sitting still and spends her time hiking, travelling and using her English Heritage Card.
She has a long list of places she wants to visit including Australia, New Zealand, India and Port Isaac (film set of Doc Martin).
Hygienist – Edward Branfield
Edward is not stranger to the practice. He worked as a trainee Dental Nurse here before starting his Dental Hygienist/Dental Therapist course at the University of Liverpool. After qualifying in 2018, he has re-joined the team and loved seeing all the old faces and meeting the new team members.
Edward is an avid football fan, following Hull city from the age of 6 and attending matches home and away. His other hobbies also include going to the theatre, keeping fit at the gym and keeping up to date with the latest films.
In his time with us; as a trainee Dental Nurse, Edward travelled to Morocco three times to support the Dental Mavericks in their fantastic charity work delivering dental care to the children of the Atlas mountain area. He was also involved in the Maverick’s fundraising mountain climb of Mount Toubkal. He is very excited to join them again soon.Edward is driven to improve the perception people have of visiting the dentist by making the experience as comfortable and making each dental experience a positive one.
Hygienist – Sara Peachey
I have been a Dental Hygienist for 29 years and qualified in the Royal Army Dental corps back in 1994.
In my spare time I like to listen to music and singing in my local Operatic Society. I also love to read a good book.
Dental Nurse – Nadene Stainforth
Nadene started her career as a dental nurse way back in 1985 and qualified with merit in 2003.
She trained alongside Chris in Dental Implantology and is also a trained first-aider and fire warden.
Out of work Nadene likes to put her wellies on and do a spot of gardening or take her beloved Schnauzers to the beach.
She also enjoys travelling, architecture and is partial to a glass of wine and a good pair of heels!!
Dental Nurse – Mel Beard
Mel has 15 years of experience Dental Nursing in Cottingham and the surrounding area.
After qualifying in 2001 she then went on to qualify as an Oral Health Educator.
Mel loves being part of the team here at Castle Park Dental Care and looking after our lovely patients.
Outside of work she likes to spend time with her family and her dog and loves going camping and taking part in “Goth” weekends.
Dental Nurse – Claudia
Claudia has been dental nursing since 2012 and qualified as a dental nurse in May 2016.
In her spare time she likes spending time with her friends and family and going for weekends away to the coast in North Yorkshire.
She particularly loves visiting Whitby, Filey and Scarborough.
She also likes a good holiday abroad in the sun.
Dental Nurse – Katie Bury
Katie has 6 years’ experience in Dental Nursing and joined our team from Hessel this Year.
After qualifying in 2014, Katie spent four years working in a West Yorkshire Practice, gaining experience in Implant Nursing before moving back to East Yorkshire last year.
Katie loves interacting with Patients and putting them at ease.
In her spare time, Katie loves socialising with her boyfriend and friends, going to the gym and eating.
Dental Nurse – Sarah Mackinnon
Sarah has 12 years of nursing experience and with additional qualifications in radiography, which she gained in 2016.
She has two cats that she adores as they are ‘her boys’.
In her spare time, she enjoys socialising with her friends and the odd shopping trip or two!!
Trainee Dental Nurse Emad Ansari
Emad is 18 years of age, recently started his training at Castle Park Dental Care and is looking forward to becoming a Dental Nurse.
In his spare time he plays the piano and is self-taught. He also go to the gym four times a week.
His dream is to have a healthy and peaceful life and have his true mates and family behind his back.
Trainee Dental Nurse Megan
I started my training to be a Dental Nurse in September 2018 and will be qualified by 2020.
In my spare time I like to spend time with friends and family. I’m also a big fan of animals and music.
Gail Ransome – Receptionist/Administrative Support
Gail has been involved in education; both primary and further education for 23 years, supporting students to achieve their full potential.
Gail joined the practice in August 2017 and will be working with the front of house team and is looking forward to making new friends and meeting our lovely patients.
Outside of work, Gail enjoys attending concerts, theatre performances and socialising with her family and friends.
