Ilay qualified with a BDS from Istanbul University in 2003 and has since developed a particular clinical interest in periodontics and the management of complex gum conditions. Early in his career, he recognised the critical role periodontal health plays in long-term restorative success and overall oral wellbeing.
He has extensive experience in diagnosing and treating periodontal disease, with a strong emphasis on accurate assessment, minimally invasive techniques, and long-term maintenance. Ilay is especially interested in periodontal regeneration, soft tissue management, and pink aesthetics, ensuring both health and harmony in the supporting structures around teeth and implants.
Ilay incorporates advanced technologies, including laser dentistry, to support biological and patient-centred periodontal care. He regularly lectures internationally on laser applications and periodontal treatment techniques, reflecting his commitment to continual professional development and modern, evidence-based practice.
He has experience managing both NHS and private cases and accepts internal and external referrals for complex periodontal conditions, working closely with referring dentists to provide tailored treatment plans and predictable long-term outcomes.
